The Baroque garden is open and free at all times.
However during the winter months it may be necessary to close the garden depending on weather conditions.

Accessibility

THE GALLERY

Wheelchair access to Gammel Holtegaard is available through the side door to the left of the main entrance. Please contact the ticket desk to open the door: +45 4611 5888

The gallery is on one level and has no steps or doorsills. The narrowest doorway is 90 cm wide; extra-wide wheelchairs cannot pass through.

The toilets and coat check are downstairs in the basement. A toilet with wheelchair access is located in the side building housing the departments of the Rudersdal Museum and the Vedbæk Finds

 

GAMMEL HOLTEGAARD’S BAROQUE GARDEN

All paths in the Baroque garden are either fine gravel or stamped. Access via the gateway to the right of the main house and from Mariehøj Culture Centre to the east.

Guided Tours

On selected Sundays and Thursdays throughout the year Gammel Holtegaard offers guided tours of our exhibitions, as well as guided walks in the baroque garden.

At Gammel Holtegaard we are happy to arrange private guided tours for groups, companies, classes and other interested parties.

Learning

Gammel Holtegaard provides learning activities on all exhibitions, as well as on the historical baroque complex. The activities are designed for teachers and students of different subjects and ages.

Activities can be adapted to specific needs on request.

Design Shop

The shop at Gammel Holtegaard sells books and posters relating to current and past exhibitions. Furthermore we are pleased to offer our costumers a small but stylish selection of design- and giftware from both Denmark and abroad. 

The shop is open during exhibition opening hours.

Café Spiseriet

The café Spiseriet is located in one of the old side wings of the main house at Gammel Holtegaard. Here you can enjoy a traditional Danish lunch in cosy surroundings. In fine weather, there is also a lovely patio available with full table service. On Thursdays the restaurant is also open for dinner until 8 pm

You can visit also Spiseriet without an exhibition ticket.

The café is only open during gallery opening hours.
