Georg Baselitz
1938 - 2026
Georg Baselitz (1938 - 2026) was one of the most recognized and influential artists in the 20th and 21st century. Since the 1960s, with his provocative political pictorial themes and his upside-down painted motifs, he has made an important contribution to a different understanding of painting in the 20th and early 21st centuries.
